AMIC projects contribute to reduced carbon emissions from manufacturing. Through energy efficiency gains, circularity, and facilitating the development of renewable energy solutions for companies, AMIC is supporting the development of ‘greenshoring’, i.e. shifting the focus from low-cost overseas production to low-carbon, sustainable manufacturing through making NI a green low-carbon manufacturing destination of choice.
AMIC is focusing on emerging sustainability technologies and recognises hydrogen as a significant growth opportunity for the manufacturing sector of NI and the UK.
We are also supporting the development of a range of further clean energy vectors including battery electric, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and e-fuels.
